Telecom Technician II

  • This is a field level position working on Cellular sites preforming upgrades, large construction sites and public venues installing DAS systems, small cells, pulling new cable, low voltage wiring, terminating and repairing cable.
  • Must have verifiable experience in telecom field work, installations and service.
  • Install, terminate and test copper cable (CAT-3 through CAT-6)
  • RAN, CDMA, LTE and Low Voltage experience preferred
  • Use of network and cable test equipment, including the use of an ohm meter
  • Mount termination hardware, backboards and racks
  • Install raceway, cable trays and conduits as needed
  • Learn and adhere to all required safety standards
  • Knowledge of industry standard color codes and terminations


  • Must be able to read, understand and intrepid blue prints and work scopes
  • Develop proficiency in primary skills of basic electricity, basic electronics, basic telephony, radio principles and basic principles of digital transmission, fiber communication, data communication, telephony terminology, industry standards, and on-line network control/maintenance systems.
  • Able to follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform routine maintenance on all radio interface equipment
  • Perform Service Assurance work on all radio interface network elements.
  • Interpret the alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and implement repairs and restoration plans to ensure minimal service disruption and impact to customer
  • Provide Service Delivery work installing new cell site equipment from channel card elements up to complete new cell site installs
  • Proficiency with use of relevant wireless tools and test equipment
  • Able to trouble shoot AC and DC power systems
  • Must be able to lift minimum 50 lbs.
  • Must have a valid, clean driver's license
