Telecommunication Rigger

  • Understand the cellular/wireless network technologies and operation
  • Understand and interpret the design documents, diagrams, schematics of cellular networks and data networks
  • Install and test the indoor and outdoor wired network including coaxial cables, twisted- pair cables, and optical fibres
  • Install and test various cable connectors and other physical interfaces
  • Install various antennas for out-door, in-building, and roof-top installations
  • Install appropriate labels on cables and equipment for future reference
  • Running, pulling, splicing and termination of various cables
  • Install and Test ODU and carry out PIM testing


  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills for communicating with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work alone or as a team member
  • Must have good knowledge of test equipment and tools used by riggers.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment and flexible time schedules
  • Must have driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to climb up telecom and cellular antenna towers
  • Can lift a weight of 20 kg or thereabouts
  • Can work in buildings, roof-tops and outdoor in harsh environments.
  • Possesses a logical approach to technical problems and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination
  • Cautious of worker safety requirements
  • Must have legal permission to work in Canada
  • Musts have at least High School Graduation (12 years of School study)
  • Certification from various equipment vendors or institutes desirable.
  • If professional license from government of Canada is required, it must be possessed by the candidate
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience in installation and testing of cellular Telecom systems. ?
